Richard Devens journal, 1795-1805.

Journals of Richard Devens of Boston, Mass., kept in interleaved almanacs for the years 1797, 1798, and 1800-1802. The almanacs contain a few entries related to personal matters and finances. Most of the volumes contain notes and lists of deaths in Boston and neighboring communities for the years 1795-1805. The journals also contain occasional Bible verses, excerpts from newspaper reports, and a recipe for dysentery (1798).
